That were we fans always been afraid of happened: Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her apartment in London. Amy Winehouse died at age 27. On that moment I didn‘t know what to say, because I was stunned by this news, that the only thing I could do to express my feelings was making as quick as I could a memorial place to let all the people write down their last good bye to Amy. Amy was born into a Jewish family of jazz musicians. She grew up in the suburbs of London, where she also went to elementary school. The music was in her blood since childhood. In her ten years Amy already made her own band called Sweet 'n' Sour which was an amateur rap group which I suppose started her career. The one who led her to the top league was Amy’s friend and soul singer Tyler James. And when she was only 16 years old she signed her first contract. I mean that won’t happen every day but I wasn’t surprise when I first heard her singing. It was just… amazing! She absolutely got me and that was the moment when I became a huge fan of her. The debut album called Frank came out in October 2003 and most of the songs wrote Amy by herself though I’ve read that only about 80% per cent was satisfying for her because the producers made her change few details despite it was against her ideas. Well but that’s how it goes in this world but still the album made a enormous “mess” in present music firstly in Britain (the album was nominated many times in BRIT Awards where she also won in a category for the best single- Stronger than Me). But what was coming next would no one expect I’d say. In 2007 her second album came out, Back to Black. Oh man whole fans would crawl and pray into her. This subscribed her into the history of nowadays music, worldwide. The album was on the first place in UK charts and also got its place in the USA. She totally got that. Even though she was very gifted there were also some dark sides in the career. I think that there’s no need to say that she was drug addicted. But I mean, oh well which really big music artist wasn’t? One of her songs was dedicated to this topic, the one called Rehab where Amy sings she doesn’t go need to some rehab and that she’s totally fine. What’s even more sad is the fact that this nasty rubbish destroy her life in her 27 years. She had her full life in front of her, bright future with her voice. Though she passed away Amy will always stay in our hearts and her music will never die. I won’t ever forget her typical hair when she had it comb out into that huge topknot, many tattoos all over her arms and conspicuous black eye lines. She was a star, she was someone and I’ll miss her very much.
